With the temperatures hovering between 24 and 25 degrees this was going to be a hot race – essential kit was water and the marshals were supplied with spare water, there was also a water point at the bottom of the steep descent.
A massive thanks to the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team for their support and everyone who marshalled, set up the course and worked in the incredible heat of the kitchen at registration. Also to WhatsMyTime Race Result team for an excellent service (as always) and St Saviours Church for providing us with their excellent facilities.
First man home was Mark Burley (Macclesfield Harriers) from Alfie Bundy (Trafford AC) and Kouros Driscoll (Rossendale Harriers). The first lady home was Martha Barker (Saddleworth Runners) from Charlotte Wilkinson ((Horwich RMI) and Kay Welsby (Rochdale Harriers).
