Harriers’ fell runners celebrated another great season at the Run the Moors presentation evening, winning the women’s team prize and several individual category wins.

Run the Moors is our local fell running league which includes Middleton Harriers, Rochdale, Royton Road Runners, Rossendale, Holcombe Harriers, Saddleworth, Radcliffe AC and Horwich.

Runners have to complete at least 5 of 11 races across the season to qualify. Category winners receive trophies and qualifiers receive an engraved glass memento.

After an entertaining and inspiring talk from runner and coach Ian Warrington and a pie and pea supper, the awards were presented.

Congratulations to our trophy winners: Stuart Litster (1st MV40 and 2nd overall); Ashley McCabe (3rd Sen M); Paul Collinge (MV70); Janine Jordan (2nd FV40); Louise Butterworth (3rd FV55); Sandra McGrail (3rd FV60) and all our female team.

Congratulations also to Dawn Anderson, Cathie Murphy, Craig Sutherland, Martha Urwin, Tony Walsh and John Weaver for successfully completing the series.
