The second of the SELCC League races took place on Saturday on a slighly revised course and heavy conditions underfoot but without the forecast rain. There was a good turnout from both the Ladies and the Men with good performance all round which bodes well for the next 2 races in this series. Our commiserations to Alan Garvey sustained a torn calf muscle and twisted ligaments after when his foot went down a hole in the muddy section after the start. Hopefully Alan will make a quick and full recovery.
The ladies were led home by Debbie Sheen who put in a strong run to finish 4th in her age category. Second lady home was Janine Jordan with Janet Hunt in third and a shout out to Teresa Hollins for getting a third in her age category.

The Men’s race had a good contingent from Middleton with Jorden Burke leading the men home with a well earned 16th overall and 4th in age category. Second man home for Middleton was Leon Wint from Brian Davies.
