The last road race of the season saw Middleton Harriers taking a coach to Keswick to tackle the gently undulating Derwent 10 Mile race.
First lady and first overall was Toni Wilson, from 1st man John Humphreys in 2nd overall position and Steve Bibby in 3rd overall. Second lady was Jo Bishop making a tremendous comeback, and Jess Hanrahan coming in a strong 3rd.
This was our first trip (I think) to Keswick and we all agreed it was a great event and definitely the most scenic club race we’ve participated in. It was also good to meet up with an old friend of the Harriers – John Walshe who helped found the Ballycotton 10, a race much frequented by Middleton Harriers in the past.
