On Sunday 14th September eight Harriers took on the Yorkshireman Half – a 14.8 mile fell race over the moors near Haworth. We were well looked after with feed stations stocked with chocolate, peanuts and…port and cheese! There was free pizza and hot drinks at the finish and even a brass band to entertain us on one of the hills. There was a good mix of bogs to battle through plus a brutal final climb up a cobbled road to the finish.

There were some great performances from the Harriers, with first Middleton male Ashley McCabe taking 17th place overall, closely followed by John Weaver. Martha Urwin was our first female Harrier home and several of our runners secured good points scores in our local Run the Moors fell running league.
