A glorious sunny day and a gently undulating course were all our runners needed to spur them into some great results at the Darwen Half. A well deserved 3rd overall for Jorden Burke and 2nd in his V40 age category set the scene for other Middleton runners to get on the podium – Steve Vasiliou getting 3rd in his age cat, and Helen Mutch 3rd in hers.

For the men there were good runs from Wayne O’Connell and Steve Bibby, both making their presence felt in the Men’s Club Championship.
The Ladies were well represented by Helen Mutch, Dawn Anderson, Jennifer Laptew and Louise Butterworth, who all ran excellent races in preparation for Manchester Marathon.
