The last race in our Road Championshup series saw Middleton Harriers runners put in brilliant performances at the Oldham Half Marathon on Sunday. Jo Adamson came in with a 5th Lady Overall and a Category win, with the the men getting third place in the team category and the Middleton ladies team in 4th place!
After a break of several years the race made a welcome return to our championship series and didn’t diasppoint. Starting off in Oldham town centre, with a new start and finish location, runners took on the “incline” up to Grains Bar before descending to Saddleworth and its surrounding villages before returning to the centre of Oldham.
The the first three Middleton men home were Andy Smith (9th overall man) from Tony Campbell and Rob Bishop. The first Middleton lady (fifth overall and first in her age category) was Jo Adamson from Louise Butterworth and Dawn Anderson.
