Withins Skyline, the last fell race of the Championship took place on Sunday, 15th October. Although the moor was bathed in glorious sunshine, recent heavy rain had saturated the route and our intrepid runners found the ascent heavy going with feet and legs diasappearing in the tracherous quagmire.
First home for the Harriers was Martha Urwin, followed by Mark Lawson and Louise Butterworth, making Marth and Mark this season’s Club Champions. All the team had good runs and the photos say it all:

As an added bonus to good results on the day, we were able to enjoy the fruits of the season with Podium Places in the Grand Prix for Janine Jordan (3rd LV40), Martha Urwin (2nd LV45), Louise Butterworth (3rd LV50), Catherine Murphy (3rd LV55), Craig Sutherland (3rd LV65) and John Hall (1st MV75.) There were also finishers awards for Dawn Anderson, Mark Lawson. Finally a massive congratualtions to the Ladies Team for a well deserved 3rd Place overall, no mean feat!
