The inaugral Chip Chase Fell race took place on Sunday 6th August. Based in our favourite spot in Saddleworth, the Cross Keys pub, the route had many familiar aspects to it.
Starting at the top of Running Hill Gate the route ascended to the Trig Point at Broadstone hill before heading south to Pots & Pans via Shaw Rocks and Kinder Stones. Gently descending paths took the runners to the base of Aldermans Brow where a left turn took the field up (and I mean UP) to the top of Aldermans Hill. A northbound route then took the runners back to Slade Rocks where a nifty left turn and long decent took everyone back to Running Hill Gate and the Cross Keys.
